Default Wide Glide Touring Windsheild

Looking HD at the quick release detachable windshields they have for an FXDWG (49mm) and I'm only seeing the standard height, compact and supersport - is there no touring windshield for the WG?

I love my Memphis Shades Speed Demon. Very nice either around town or on the highway. I run without a lot, but then I run with it on a lot, too. I wear a full-face helmet when it's not on there. Definitely protects me from a lot of bugs and other things flying toward me.

The standard height one isn't small. at 6'1" I need to sit up straight to get my whole head over the shield.

I'm actually thinking of selling my HD Standard and getting a shorter one or the Memphis QR setup

The stock HD windsheilds for the Wide Glide is a POS IMHO. There is so much buffeting coming from underneath and over the tank that it barely makes a difference between riding with or without one, save some of the wind to your chest. I'm 6'2", so YMMV...

I actually talked to an engineer at Harley about it recently and he said they do zero analysis or wind tunnel testing on their windsheilds. It's all about the look.

My recommendation would be to go with something else, or plan on investing in some lowers of some sort if you want to actually have a functional windsheild.
