Swapped original pipes (just mufflers, not head pipes) on my '08 DL for a new set off a '10 WG. Fit was fine and they seem to function ok...but -
After 600 miles or so, the exhause is popping quite a bit and I've lost a lot on the low end. Bike is really sluggish until I hit about 50 and then it smoothes out. Gearing has changed too - seems like I need about 10 MPH more to change gears, meaning I'm running in a lower gear much more now than before. Runs fine on the high end (65+).
Can't imagine why going from one set of stock mufflers to another would change much at all. Unless you've got an exhaust leak at the slip joint. Check that out and look to see if the intake flanges are snug, too.
+1 on a possible exhaust leak at the slip joint. HD recommends new clamps every time you change mufflers . Also the service manual (if I remember right recommends some type of silicone / high temp sealing agent to help the slip joints not leak. Check all connections on your pipes and if that is not the problem then id think about a re-map.

Thanks all. According to the manual, TORCA muffler clamps eliminated the need for silicone or graphite tape during assembly but it still recommends new clamps - which I used. I'll go back and check for leaks and re-torque.
