I want the wheel doesn't have the hump in the middle where the spokes go. I've seen them on sportsters and softails. Is there a difference in the spoke lengths if went with the smooth wheel?

Yea, one spoke at a time... Seriously just read up on truing techniques and you will be able to do it. Just remember the money that your saving, and be PATIENT. Also you will need something to be able to spin the wheel on while your truing the wheel.

The factory calls them "profile" wheels. They were offered on '06 models and maybe a year or two after, but I don't think they (HD) sell em any more.
Just do a search on Ebay or Craigslist for profile wheel.

Here ya go...so far, it's a good price... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...item43a88f8ee6

Hope that helps.

Thanks justblaze that is the type I want. I calledharley and they want 269 for the wheel and 70 for the spokes. Its off an 07 sporty. Is the part number the same for a softail or a wideglide wheel?

FYI, the Sportster and WG hoop share the same HD part number.
