Headlights are on as well as dash lights when you turn off by handlebar switch. I have been doing this since I baught it and have yet to forget but I don't have the security so I have to lock it with the hey which reminds me to turn ignition switch cause I have to in order to lock. DO what you want it probably not going to matter much or it would be a big issue ppl talk about and its not.

Seems dumb to me and can leed to you forgetting to turn the ignition switch off..... which equals a dead battery.

I like to ground the tip of the sparkplug to the cylinder. If it was good enough for Lawnboy in the early 60s, it's good enough for harley today.

But seriously...it's your bike, shut it off any way you want. You have our permission.

I just use the auto shutoff feature when you lay the bike on its side. My back hurts from lifting it up every time I ride it, but it's worth the hassle instead of just hitting the kill switch that's so far away from my hand placement.

Seriously.....kill switch and then key. Safer.
