I have Big shot shorts and have taken the baffles out on them today. They were already loud but only under excelleration but at idle it was quite tame. Now even at Idle it sounds loud and nasty. I can say that the Big shot baffles are very small and short but really quiets them down. Now the bike can be heard for miles more.
I put a set of the new Mid-Length Hooker Step Tuned pipes on my FXDWG, and they will get your attention when you fire up the bike.
Optional baffles are available, but I didnt' bother to install any of them. Because of the stepped inter pipe construction even low end performance is very good, and at higher RPM there is a noticeable increase in performance.
You can 'short shift' and run in slealth mode when needed, but open up the throttle and these bad boys bark.... Not a setup for the timid, that's for sure...
Put Samson on my Deluxe but the piles of crap blued right away. Bought Hard krome double d's and left out the baffles. Awesome and loud as hell. you would love these

I agree, the Hardchrome pipes sound real good. My friend has a yamaha road star with Hardchrome pipes and they sound MUCH better than my Harley with SEII's. Very loud also, will please most decible freaks.
