IPB issue VS. MFG. date

I had a local dealer run my V.I.N. through the database for Harleys saftey recalls. None for my 06, and was told my bike was delivered to the dealer on 04/04/06, so Im guessing my IPB should be clear of the issues as I read that around 02/13/06 Harley started to fix the problems with the IPB.

Does this sound correct?

Nope. My bike had the IPB fail at 15k and my build date is 4-06. There was never a recall on it and the bulletins only refered to the early build bikes.

Don't mean to spoil your day but 4/06 build here and just got the bike back from the dealer for an IPB failure. MoCo is standing behind it as they not only replaced the IPB but upgraded my inner primary and tranny cases to the '07 design with the dowel pins all on their nickel. I am two years out of warranty with 26k on the odometer.
