Seats With Gel in Them

Have seen seats with gel inserts in them, anybody tried any of these? Terry

I have a saddlemen's solo seat with gel insert, can't really feel the gel when I'm sitting on it but it's much more comfortable than the stock fatbob seat

I had the barebones with gel. Cant say it made too much of a difference as its for looks only (short rides).

My Danny Gray Weekday solo with Gel, (not in pic below), is super comfy for a seat that has a lower profile.

The thing that I noticed with gel is that it displaces and where you put pressure on it it feels good but you end up with a bulge next to it so it's not that comfortable. It is better than nothing but in all honesty nothing beats a good, high quality saddle. There is a saying that holds true when it comes to seats: you can buy a great one and cry once or you can buy a cheaper one and cry twice.

I took my solo seat to the local auto upholstery shop and had the original foam replaced with gelfoam. Much more comfortable now.
Two seats, easy to switch from single to two-up.
