If the price point was a couple of K lower, I'd be struggling to not go buy one. But if I were actively in the market, I'd step up to RK

Matter of fact I'm trying real hard not to go buy one. Think it maybe a good seller, maybe not to the younger crowd. But for those of us who want the storage and long range ride capapbility but don't want the touring bike or a heritage this is going to fit the bill perfectly. It is good to here a ride review on it, keep them coming!

most of the bikes in the showroom aren't half as cool ""out of the box" as this one.
only minor mods to make this a real cruiser.
I live in heavy police territory keeping my cop friendly pipes.
willing to bet that pipe isn't plugging it up anyways....
this bike has a rev limiter or governor of some kind.
it topped out on me crushing this idiot on a bmw.
you guys throwing pipes on these bikes with no tuners available might be drifting in to dangerous territory.
no balance
no way to balance it
good luck.
I am waiting till there are several choices for tuning and pipes.
my bike does 70 in fourth
wtf are you trying to do anyway?
cruises nice at a hundred
what do you want it to go faster for?
needing a little one on one time with your local Hiway patrol?
do you look good in handcuffs?
27 speeding tickets under my belt
don't be like me
nothing to be proud of
expensive suffering that caused irreparable damage to my family.
good luck

Question changing pipes

Timinator,
You are taking the safe road and I don't blame you but it took me by total surprise given what limited amount I know of your nature...meaning I NEVER would have guessed you were conservative...not today, tomorrow or the next lifetime...lol

I did become somewhat alarmed though (because I also know you know your chit) and so I made a call to my HD dealer. After discussing new pipes (my Bassanni's) and mapping, we decided the way to go for me was to have them (HD) do my mapping and intake changeout when I drop it off for the 1k service. Done deal. He even admitted that they ALL change exhaust, breather and remap on their own bikes.
However....
I also learned that if any of us are prone to chronic complaints (we all know what that means...buggin them for stupid stuff and being petty), get ready to put everything back stock before you hope to get any warrantee work done. Theoretically, they don't have to honor a warrantee if we made unauthorized non-harley changes on our own.

Just a little loader is all I ever wanted anyway, OK and looks.

Seems like if my dealer gets a taste $$$ he’s goes along with my mods.
Tons of aftermarket exhaust are done there.

Yes that was the point I was making subliminally. Once the service goes to them, they get friendlier and more open. I like that shop though, in my book they are good people and run a good store and I have only good things to say about them. However, I hear that pomona valley harley have some excellent dyno guys. Laidlaw's isn't too shabby either. Both are much closer to me so I'll probably be going there for service. I know you know both of those shops since you come from this area.
I'm really happy for you my friend, happy that you can finally call it yours! ^5's

I've got 2000 on mine. Loving it. Went to dealer today and got some canvas lowers for the cool nights. Riding home at 1am even down here in NC and I'm getting a little cold. I'll have to start a photo bucket to show you the mods. Not much on mine at all Seat with driver and passenger backrest, engine guard and pegs, oh and the new canvas lowers. For some reason I can't seem to get off the D*&m thing. Its gonna have a lot of miles on it. My first Harley it was between this a dresser or a Gold Wing. I made the right choice. Time to hit the ashpalt Later
