Boys, boys, boys! I go silent for a few days and you are feeding the beast. What is ironic is that I am about the ONLY woman FLD owner who is regularly on this forum. Once in a while ChickRider and I cannot recall the other woman's name visit the site. I can only assume there are way more men FLD owners than women. The bike is unisex - both men and women can enjoy the ride. Happy Valentine's Day; a day early.
Hi all, I'm still here. I hang around & read the comments but don't say much. I agree, that more men own an FLD than women. I don't judge others by what they ride. When I pass another rider on the road, we acknowledge each other. I respect them and they respect me. If they don't like my bike, fine, Who cares? I love it, but I loved my sportster and my wide glide too!
Actually, I like the looks of those "purses" on his bike too (in fact I'm gonna get some) but now I'm afraid to LOL around you, C.
hehe
No way, feel free to put those on your bike and I actually like them but I'm sticking with the stock ones on mine.
By the way, my '01 FXD is named Black Betty but it's actually named after my '78 Lowrider that I bought new back then and named it that after the song. My FLD is named Mojo after a golf ball that one of my coworkers claimed was laying on the pavement next to my bike. I don't believe his story because he was just trying to rattle me.
LOL, cool. And all these years I thought black beauty was a mare. Probably because all my sisters liked the book so much, I just assumed it was a mare and not a stallion.
I always wondered if you gals named your scoots guy names. We are all funny creatures aren't we? That's some of the stuff that makes us all interesting though, I do believe.
Funny thread. Good to see that there are still a few people that dont get all wound up with criticism. The defensive posts are from people that are second guessing the purchase. I felt like that with my last bike but now I could not be happier. Good luck Gents

oh, oh Black Betty, blam-a-lam...love it.
On the bags, that's why we (well maybe not US quite yet..lol) have so many choices...something for everyone. I already have a potential buyer for mine and he is thrilled i will be able to sell them at half price. I just want to cover the cost of the new ones, so it's a win-win. As you know, I rarely put mine on and when i do, I just want something bigger and a different look. Personal preference thing again. Take care bro.

actually you would be wrong for 99% of us, the defense comes from UN-knowledgeable people posting on the subject of this particular bike,
until they do a little research and see just what the MOCO came up
with they will continue to show their ignorance on the subject.

LOL...exactly the kind of post that I was talking about. Get out and ride it instead of constantly defending it. Whatever model you have there will always be someone talking trash about it so the quicker you get over it the better off you will be. 1HD1C, your bike is awesome, it's not a chicks bike, your bags are big enough to ride for weeks....Feel better now?
