Hello All,

Speedhitter....No. The '12 FLD footboard L/H fwd bracket mounts in the same place as the fwd controls. (Just aft of the engine guard mounting clamps) And, works well with the "Guard" installed. I have an HD engine guard installed on my '06 FXD w/ '12 FLD footboards.

Silverado05533....The P.N. for the Brake Rod is 38161-12, price, $ 72.56, as listed on my quoted post from FXD2003Rider, post #29.

IRONIC.... I tried using the brake rod from my DH fwd controls and, it was only engauged by about 4 threads on the master cyclinder. Plus, the '12 FLD brake rod is bent differently and, a little longer so It allows for much better clearance on the fwd headpipe of my Vance & Hines Big Shots.

Sorry, No pic's yet folks. Been a busy week. I'll try real hard to get somthing going in that department this weekend.

Best wishes.... Tim

OK Folks, ....Here's som pics of my '06 FXD w/'12 FLD footboards. Not the best by far, but I'm technically challenged in that department.

Default Thanks Harley Tim!

Great looking bike! And I'm a fan of the black look too.

I just grabbed your pics of the conversion for further study. I appreciate the updated parts shopping list too. It's superbly done. This is my winter project.

You may also need the shift lever depending on which your bike came with stock. I had to change mine over because the stock lever hit the trans case when shifting into 6th gear. The new lever I used is shaped like a "C" when looking at the left side of the bike, the stock lever looked like a backwards "C".

I hadn't thought about that, thanks for the added info. When I put the list together I looked at the shift linkage setup and it has some of the same components as my forward control setup.
