Thunderheader Heat Shield
Ok, after having my 08 FXDC with Thunderheaders for over a year.
And burning holes in all of my Pants....I decided to get the top rear Heat Shield....
My first thought was, how hard can it be to install, it only has 4 hose clamps....Ya right..LOL
First off, ya got to determin which way ya want all the clamps to face, so ya can tightin them down....
I started snugging them up from the exaust down, so the hose clamp by the exaust is no.1....Ok 1,2,3 is not to bad,,,,Just minor cussing....The SOB no.4 is a royal pain in the A$$....
There is no room at all to get the Hose clamp started with your fingers, I finialy figured out to use a knife blade stuck into one of the slots on the hose clamp to apply pressure while useing the socket on the other end, push together to get the clamp started....
Anyway, I hope this will help anyone thinking of putting these shields on....
