I have a 98 WG that is going through some changes. I purchased a set of Wild1 Chubby's and I am wondering if anyone else could tell me the length of the throttle, idle, and brake line they used? I ask because I have heard anywhere from 6" to 12". I did some rough measurements and I came up with 8", so you can see where my confusion is. I am keeping the stock 2" risers and I have a jockey shift/suicide clutch so I don't need the clutch cable lenth.
I went 10 over on the throttle and idle cables
8 over on the front brake cable
10 over on clutch
I have a few inches of growing room, thinking of getting 3 or, 4 inch risers.
If your sure your going to just put the new bars on then, I would go an inch or, 2 over what it will take. 10 inch to 12, get 3 inch over...and so on. You'll have to think about the movement of the handlebars.
