Project clean bars.....
A few guys on the softail side of the forum are running similar setups...honkylips and Joe what come to mind
I actually saw a fella that had a internal clutch that was basically just like the throttle but on the left grip. The only way I could have dealt with that was with grips that had throttle paddles. (2 throttle grips required due to ID) It was tight to twist.
I didnt get to talk with him much as we were both busy that day, and I never saw him again.

Other options are CCCS clean bars, hawg Halters clean bars or get s sleek master cylinder and run the brake line internally. I have the grip ace and exile internal throttle on my ride. I picked up a pm master cylidner for teh brake on Friday, but it's going to take a little work to get it on and hidden.
One other option for the front brake is to what Russell at Exile did is and link the front and rear brake to the foot pedal and eliminate the brake lever and upper master cylinder altogether.
I was thinking about this but with the foot clutch I run I have decided against it as I like having a front brake on hills. Here are a few pics of my set up. I am going to ahve a buddy make me a custom mirror clamp to match the outer diameter of the spacers he made for my bars between the grips and the mirror clamp and the grip and the master cylinder. A couple of more weeks and I should have the rest of it sorted out and nice and clean. The grip ace is killer, 1 cable that runs through the bars and controls everything. You do lose the run/stop switch, but everything else works perfectly.
I recommend the Exile throttle cable too as it has the adjuster on the bottom by the EFI so you can easily adjsut it. This is important when the rest of the cable is inside of the bars. I can't wait to get my new master cylinder on and run the brake line internally.
I figured if i was going to bother to clean the bars up I might as well get rid of the switch housings and the bars looks so much cleaner without them. Well worth it. I'll get some more close ups as soon as it gets light out.
New master cylinder awaiting install.

Bars as they sit right now

I sell all this stuff too. If you want to clean things up and not spend $2395 on the CCCS stuff this is the way to do it. My cost is maybe half of that so far.

Here are a few close ups. Still dark in my garage but you get the idea.
Left side (new mirror clamp will be made)

Right side (new master cylinder and internal brake line will done)

drew,
thanks for all the info and pics.
ill likely be putting a call into you for this **** since my local shop up and folded about a week ago.
i can deal with the MC on the bars...i absolutely need a front brake
your setup is very similar to what i want to do on my ride.
why the spacers though? do the exile grips not cover the whole stepped down part of the carlini bars?
