ok, so i broke down and bought my 2006 fxdb. I loved the way they looked when they came out but swore I'd never buy one because of the 02 sensors and efi only etc. OK, can someone make this easy for me?
The guy I bought the bike from has already installed a se air filter and drilled the pipes but has done nothing else. (i imagine he's been running pretty lean)
When I go to power commanders website I don't see any maps for the 06 dynas other than ones that eliminate the 02 sensors.
I'll probably get rid of the pipes and either add slipons or a complete system. I don't want to buy a new exhaust system with the bungs for the sensors for an 06 and then find out I have to eliminate the sensors anyway.
What are most of you guys using to control the fuel system? Power commander or ? Are you using the maps they have on the website?
Whats my easiest and most effective way out of epa hell?
The '06 Dynas have the o2 sensors as do all the newer bikes.
I bet your Bob is running lean also.
Power Commanders come with the eliminators, a plug that fits into where the sensor plugs go.
You could buy pipes without the bungs but you'll still need the eliminators.
If you didn't buy a PC3 yet buy it from FuelMoto, http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ they probably have a map for you.

I used the o2 eliminator plugs that came with the PC3. I run a Ness Big Sucker and SE-2 Slip-Ons with Big City Thunder Baffles (which totally rock). I used the M811-003 map and it works great. The bike runs cool in the summer and has very few pops on decel.
I wouldn't worry about getting rid of the harley 02 sensors. They don't do what most people think. They only lean the engine at certain rpm's when the engine is held at a steady cruise. The rest of the time, they don't do anything. If it's a choice between 2 mpg or 2 horsepower, most will take the horsepower. The PC111 is an add-on unit, so if the stock 02 sensors were left in, the afr would be incorrect every time the stock 02 sensors kicked in. Just my 2 cents, but I'd get rid of those drilled out mufflers and put on a new set of performance mufflers that appealed to me. The Power Commander website has a lot of maps for different set-ups. Pick the one that fits you or is close to your set-up.
