Today i bought the BOOM audio system for my bike, got it for a very good price, was just wondering where people have mounted theres, would love to see some pics of them installed, since i have mini apes i was thinking of installing them on the bars near the controls but upside down, kinda like upside down mirrors, anyhow, let's see them.
I'm thinking of getting some handlebar speakers but instead of the handlebars mounting them on my engine guard. Seen it once before and liked it a whole lot better than on the handlebars. Don't have any pictures as I don't have them yet. Also a gotta have the engine guard and some like the engine guard others don't. Hope that helps.
speakers are tough. you have to have them mounted so they point in a specific direction so that you get a good sound over the wind and engine. mounting them in the bags behind you wont work. the wind and air pressure will just push the sound further away from the listener. i like the boom audio its just they are big, like blueangle. putting them on top of the bars makes it look like mickey mouse ears. i think mounting them under the bars like you mention probaly will look much better. what size bars are they?
i was thinking of get the lowrider or wide glide tank console for my streetbob that has the speedo and the tact in it and mounting the speakers in the holes with a black screen overing them so you dont see the speakers. might have to fab the tank cover to make it deeper so the speakers fit but i think they will fit as is, then buy a small digital speedo with just the numbers so it small for the handle bars. just a tought i was kicking around. jackyl
i dont think these are the same as yours but here are my speakers on the bars, and they sound good up to 60 and after that mt so good.i got the 100 amp radio.i used hose clamps to tie them on.

I think you would be able to get the speakers in the dash no problem, speakers are no deeper than the speedos or tach, Jakyl i thought i saw a post from you with a batwing fairing and speaker holes in it.
