Default seat for FLD

I like this seat but don't know anything about them and do you know if it will fit the Switchback? I want a solo with a back rest but it must be a reduced reach. Damn, I hate being short!

I saw that seat the other day when I was looking for mine and was going to tell you about it. I don't know anyone who uses it though. Sure does look nice don't it?

If you have a solo seat you like it seems to me all you need
is a backrest, if you can find one?
I thought I seen one? I’ll look around.

Nlow there's the voice of reason. Maybe something along these lines but for the FLD?

I'd hit up mrnone if I was you and I bet he could make it happen.

You think he can make me a back rest? That would be awesome but I'm sure he's busy with all his own mods.... Hmmmm, Mrnone are you reading this :=)

Hey FB, if I'm reading that correctly, it's not compatible with a solo? I wonder if HD or anyone has something similar and I could just send in my solo for the mod to accept the back rest? Cause Perryross is correct, I am happy with my HD seat. but my back gets tired. If I read the saddleman renegade right, it's the lowest of seats? it looks like it has an fair amount of padding..

I've got one on my Heritage and been ride'n it for about 50K miles. It's not a solo but I like it better than the mustang because you sit lower. Thinking of putting one on my FLD also but it'll be later on. Let me know if you get one.

when I got my electraglide it had the rider backrest
I took it off and sold it

I am almost positive I could fit one of those to a dyna.
I know I could modify one to work...
they make an adjustable one too so you can dial it in

I need to acquire another one to make sure.

worse case scenario is drilling two holes in the fender under the seat and heating and bending the bracket to fit the arc of the fender like an electraglide

still think the tour pak is the best back rest
it holds a 12 pack and a bottle of tequilla
just missed out on one for 150 bucks....
here is a link to the item that I think would be easy modification
I sold mine for forty bucks used they are all over CL and ebay

I just got this email from Saddleman and they have a variety of seats for us FLD owners :-)

I think Santa MIGHT bring me the one with studs and backrest! YAY!!

Hello Ms. Schmidt;

Thank you for your inquiry.

Our seats for Dynas and Dyna Wide Glides will fit correctly on the Switchback. Here is our listings for the Heels Down seat family for Dynas: http://www.saddlemen.com/store/index...72_676_679_682

**Please note that these will fit on bikes through the 2012 model year. (We have been doing a major re-work on our website and some current additions have not been updated yet).

You can order direct from us, or from many of the thousands of retailers coast to coast that work with Drag Specialties, the major distributor of Harley-related aftermarket items. Here is there dealer locator link: http://www.dragspecialties.com/dealers

Please call any retailer listed first, to make sure they carry seats and luggage.

We appreciate your interest.

Best wishes,

congrats ms. claus...lol
That seat looks awesome, hope it fits your comfort levels as you hope. If not, can you return it? I only say that as i recently bought what was pretty only to not be happy and return it. Luckily they gave me my money back.
Don't want to pop your bubble, just been there and done that.
