the guy said he took them off to install forwards on a 02 lo-rider, is this the defender/wyatt set-up, or a forward mount floorboard set? i don't see a heel shifter though ....
It appears to be the OEM Defender setup. You don't see the heel shifter because it was removed. On the Wyatt setup it is one piece and cannot be removed without a hack saw. These are available on eBay for about $500 in all kinds of condition so if you can get a good deal, I wouild consider jumping on them.
Yup...Here's the wyatts set-up. Most complain about the heet part of the shifter contacting the case, so they cut them off, or bend them away from it.http://www.debrix.com/Wyatt-s-Footbo...27-0920-vt.htm They are good if you are under 6 foot. They're a little further back, and a little higher than stock boards.
The origionals on the DXDP (Defender) had a 2 piece shifter, that would allow the heel part to be removed.
I decided to go ahead and get them, he wouldn't budge off the 200.00 bucks.. picking them up in the morning.... This sound like a good deal? Never seen this set-up with the pads with the chrome and black.... most were black...the wyatts or hd ones... plus the removable heel shifter is a big plus.. i can try it out both ways.... i also recently snagged the hd crash bars made for the floorboard set-up... cant wait to try all this out
yeah i finally realized that and snatched them up yesterday morning. He said after i called him and let him know i was on the way, people were calling him constantly, he even said the local harley dealer wanted them... I still have to buy a shifter rod, but they're cheap, he even gave me a engine guard for free, cool dude
