Unhappy Rear Brake Lever Light Problem

I buttoned all the wires up after my burly install and rear brake lights won't go on.

I checked the fuses, brake light works with rear brake pedal, and everything works besides the rear lights from the front lever.

Need input cause I have no clue what to do!

Thanks

Here's a thread I started about a rear brake light issue I had/have. Might have some info for you.

I read your entire post and checked the rear switch behind the rear master. That seems fine.

Could one of the wires from the pin connectors might not be in all the way? But why would everything on the bike work except for the lever brake lights?

Front master cylinder isn't all the way filled. Will that effect that?

Maybe you damaged the brake lever switch. Take the front lever off and see if the brake light comes on. There is a little button inside the housing, try pressing/depressing it and see if it lights at all.

I took the lever off and pressed the button in and out and nothing.

How would I test if the lever switch is bad?

It's bad if it doesn't work. Test the back one now.

Wonder how much the stealer will charge me for the new part that has that button assembly for the lever?

Misfitjason: the brakes come on w/ the brake pedal.

Sucks it all coming together and then there is this stupid electrical issue.

Was the switch good before you replaced the bars?
If it was then, its probably still good now.
I recommend checking your connections at the plug, and making sure you get the wire stuck in the right place. Its real easy to invert the wires when youre marking the connector from one side, and looking at it from the other when you stick them back in, or if you didnt get the wire securely snapped into place.
