Did an all day ride after doing the mod, and the vibration is all gone. Crazy, but it worked. Thanks for everyone's participation in this thread!
good to hear. im glad we got it all figured out! love my bike. just ordered a set of Cobra Speedster Short Swept pipes for my FLD. Will post pic's soon
Right on Swanny! You know, I've had some real loud bikes in my day, and call me crazy, but I enjoy the mellowness of the stock exhaust.
Can't wait to see your mods.

yes i do like it too, probably could have went with a slip on and saved some cash, however i do alot of city riding during the week and the quietness of the stock exhaust doesnt exactly help other drivers know where i am .. mix that in with the added heat that the stock exhaust puts out and it was a no brainer for me. still a firm believer, loud pipes save lives
yes, adding a spacer between the center exhaust and the mount reduces vibration. doesn't completely remove vibration, but it helped a lot. this proves the new 2-to-1 exhaust on FLD-103 is not balanced well at approx 3000 rpm. but it sounds so darn good!!! love the 2-to-1 rumble.
...and I looked at the service bulletin for general vibration issues. It is too generic. In the particular FLD-103 switchback vibration a RECALL is needed specifically for a new exhaust mount or new exhaust system. I would think a new exhaust mount RECALL would be cheap and effective. The cost of a "bad rep" for the new FLD-103 would be worse. Does anyone on the forums have any power to influence HD?
btw - The rest of the Switchback bike is awesome!!!

I couldn't agree more. This bike is ****. The most fun I've had on a bike in a long time! Very comfortable, very fast, very nimble, and a perfect fit for my midget a$$. And I really like the look of this scoot.

Got my pipes and bike back from its 1000 mile service Friday after work. mounted up the Cobras Friday night put another 350 miles on this weekend! Pipes sound great and the bike runs SMOOOOOOOTH now! they are loud but not to loud. @ cruzing speeds (50+) with wind noise they arent noticable untill you put the motor under load. Once you open it up.. Everybody knows it! I got alot of turning heads this weekend riding thru town! very nice rumble! Love my bike even more now! next stop.. handlebars
Swanny - those pipes look great! Seems like all of the aftermarket Switchback pipes look and perform way better than stock. I still think a stock RECALL is needed.
Did you notice less overall vibration or just less 2800-3200 RPM vibration?
I rode my 2012 Switchback after the 1000 mile inspection. It still had a vibration between 2700 and 3500 RPM. My 2007 Super Glide didn't vibrate like that. Hope the Stage 1 and the Biassani 2 into 1 solves this problem. We should start a class action law suite against Harley Davidson. Maybe then they will admit that there is a problem.
