Use a spacer and acorn nut when not running bags. A search on this forum should provide instructions.
Excellent info. Think I may go with that light. Just replaced mine with smoked LED lay down but doesn't have the turn signal built in.

cbky, Here are some photo's of my mounts. They are with others of my footboard mod. using FLD parts, if your intrested. I just added them to that folder.

I've got the bike set-up "convertable style" to accomadate any combination. One up, two up, with /without sissy bar, with/without luggage rack, and with/without saddle bags. All easily changed within 1-2 min. When I tour, I usually remove it all when I get to my destination to clean up the look while puttin' 'round the local area.

You'll notice that the lower fwd mount on the bag, and the bike are dog-legged. That is the quickest way to tell the difference between the old (like yours) and the new. What that did, was moved the bracket from behind the shock (out of sight w/ bags not installed) out into the open. Making it much easier to change the docking bushing when it wore out. And they do! I usually change or rotate them about twice a year

Hope this helps.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

correct. The inner ones are the docking point for the sissy bar/luggage rack... everything is set up w/QD. works great! Those little ***** inside the bag in the aft position are what makes them "quik detachable". By pulling out on them, and rotating them down, it moves that "L" shaped locking devise out of the way, allowing the bag to be moved back slightly, and removed.

You're welcome,... glad that cleared it up for you. Be sure to use some blue lock-tight once you get it all sorted out.

Anything else?....Just ask....

Best wishes....Tim(HT)
