I ended up with 109/116. Quick, yes, but not scary fast. Faster than my buddy's 124" Street glide with 137/144 on tap.

Is it overkill? Not in my opinion. I want more. The 107" should do well for you I think...

i just spent 1200 in mods....i was soooo close to doing the motor with a 107 kit but i know its better to do suspension first so thats the route i went.

but next year......game on!! a 107 kit with some woods cams and a dyno tune (w/ the pipes and ac i have now) and ill be happy. if i could afford the 120r id get it but i cant swing that kind of money...

I would have thought that you would have gotten more out of that considering how much you spent on heads. I've seen more than that with ported stock heads. What cams did you use? With the higher flowing heads and throttle body that you invested in, did you under cam it? I would think that you could hit 120+ hp and tq.

Go for it ... definitely not overkill to have a 107" in a Dyna ... you'll love it and kick your own a$$ for not having done it sooner ...

I found the 107" to be a "gateway drug". Once you've ridden it you want more power than it can make. BTW, I think you may just be a better rider than your friend with the 124".

Yeah. My dyno guy's dyno is pretty stingy. I'm not sure what the problem is.

The head work is killer. IIRC 2.02" intake, 1.65" exhaust, milled .060 to get compression up, polished, beautiful. He did some work on my 50mm SE throttle body as well. Cams are Woods 9B's, .630" lift. I'm using S&S 106" pistons. Exhaust is a Thunderheader. CCP is 210, so it's got some compression. All the parts are there, my bike just doesn't put down the numbers.

Same guy built a 103" with same cams, TB, heads, etc. but put on a Bassani Road Rage. It made 119hp and 113 lb-ft of torque

After 500 miles of a Thunderheader there's almost a hole in the forward pipe where it goes under the foot peg. When the hole finally blows through (from right hand turns) I'll switch exhausts and see what happens.

I'd also like to spin my bike on the dyno that showed 137/144 on my buddy's bike.

Pounds per horsepower is pretty close on those two bikes including riders. 6.0 lbs (his) versus 6.15 (mine). All things being equal I shouldn't have kicked his ***.

Yup. Sounds like the dyno. The only reason I said anything is because I've been researching a 98" build on mine. From what I've seen I could get in the 105+ Hp and torque if I do headwork with springs and a good cam. Depending on how much cam and compression, maybe 110+. I would think with your combo and the right pipe, you should see over 120. I just picked up a white brothers E series pipe so I'm going in the right direction. Just need to save for the 98".

No such thing as overkill. I also have the HD SE 103 Stage IV kit, and am still considering going to a 120R someday. I say do it - you won't regret it at all.

Love the 107 in my Wide Glide. Check out Cycle Rama as an option for a build. They do super work. Bike is reliable, quick, and fun.

Is a 107" too much for a Dyna? I want it to be reliable but I wouldn't mind a little more get up and go in the low to mid range. Not looking to pull wheelies, just fun.
I have contacted Fuel Moto & Dragos and just looking for some more advice/input....

Thanks for the input in advance.

Jamie
A friend of mine has a 117 in a 2004 Dyna that's making 136HP. Don't know how much torque.

So, to answer your question....NO.
