Use a little heat on the back side to loosen the glue.

Advise your powdercoater to mask that off and not to paint over it?

Wouldn't advise to mask over - coating is a heat/bonding process so masking won't work. Gotta get it off - try the heat/pry option, but can get replacement from HD if you bend/damage...good luck.

I'd remove the decal and properly prep and P/C the console.

I don't think you will be happy with the results by trying to mask the decal. Further, its going to fall off when the coater puts it in the oven to bake.

No doubt, a new decal can be ordered from your dealer if you mess it up when removing it.

Sorted heated it up as hot as i could with the hairdryer and manged to get it off top tip though if you do this and bend or kink it slightly dont worry lay it face down on a flat surface i used the work top and get the rolling pin out you know the one she uses for baking or hitting you over the head with put you weight on it and roll it flat presto no kinks.

Regards

you should be able to get a replacement for a fairly reasonable price, and you will also have fresh glue on the back of the new one.
