i have '02 fxd with stock handlebars and want to swap with Roland Sands Design Black Ops Vintage Short Stacks, Manufacturer Part Number: 0173-1828-TBP. http://www.jpcycles.com/product/506-068

specs for the stock bars are: bar diameter-1", height-4.5", width-31", pullback-7.5", and center-7.5"

specs for the short stacks are: bar diameter-1", height-7.5", width-30", pullback-3 3/4", and center-6.5"

does anyone know if the stock wire is enough? will i also need to buy a new throttle and brake cable?

i am a new motorcycle rider and this is the first mod i'll be doing.

Clob, From the specs it sure sounds like it, but just maybe you might luck out, as long as your cables are not stretched too tight, you might just get the bars and mount em and see, I have 18 inch chubby apes, the wife and I had to change out throttle, brake, clutch and wires, took us about 8 hours to do, but saved a crap load of money, I did have to take her out to dinner though. Good luck
