Starter - which one; HD or DS?

I had similar problems with my stock starter making grinding/sputtering sounds. HD dealer listened to it and confirmed it was the starter clutch going bad.
So I picked up a twin power starter. Bad choice. Didn't leave me stranded but it had to be replaced twice before the six month warranty expired. First one the pinion gear sheared off after 2 months, second one the seal went bad and primary fluid leaked out the starter. I don't have much confidence in the third one but the warranty is up.
So I'm also in the market for a new starter. Not sure if I'm going to get the stock starter rebuilt or go with the drag specialties.
