So Haksaw, Do you like the pipes? I read another post where you commented on the clearance of rear brake shaft. Did you install the pipe? I have just ordered the pipe and am anticipating doing the install myself along with thundermax autotune and K&N a/c.

How do you like the rumble, performance and quality of the pipe?

Thanks

i just bought the 2-1 python pipe. I was told the same thing (that they were made by v & h).
I haven't installed it yet since I'm still waiting on my powercommander (and the fact that i'm lazy and won't be riding until april or so, once the snow melts)
The baffle is removeable on the 2-1

I'm not crazy about the pipe to honest...I can't comment on any power increases since I never rode the bike until I got the pipe installed with the pciii. The fit was good and I think it's a good looking exhaust.
My pipe is quite discolored after 1/2 a summer and it sounds tinny to me...I removed the baffle and that sounded worse so i've re-installed it. It's loud enough for cagers to hear but not crazy loud where no one will ride behind you. I'll probably install rhinehart exhaust by the end of summer.

here's a pic of it on the bike when i first installed it

yarokay.....is the pipe discoloured or the heatshield? I searched and searched and thought I'd seen most posts on the pipe, but missed yours, otherwise I would've asked you earlier. I have heard from plenty who are impressed with it though.

I'll let you know my opinion after I get it on and gets some k's on it. I have already layed down my hard earned!!

Thanks mate

My wife's Heritage has the Python Staggered Duals. They have an awesome deep rumble.

I got mine from Eastern and the box has "Drag Specialties" printed all over it.

Drag Specialties is also the only place I found the little information I have about them...

I have the 2-1 pipes and I never bothered to see if the baffle was removeable or not.

Has anyone modified the baffle and got a good sound?

I like mine the way it is and hate to risk making it sound crappy right now...especially since I'm getting it dynoed tomorrow.
