What kind of tire pressures do you guys run on your Super Glides and Street Bobs with the 100mm 19" front? I just picked up my new FXDC this weekend..
I ran 36/38 on my Sporty Custom, & the manual says 30/40 on my Dyna, but wondering if anyone has experience with experimenting with tire pressures...30 seems really low on the front to me..
It has the Michelin Scorcher "31" tires btw.
I like to run what the tire manufactor stamps on the sidewall for maximum PSI when cold or maybe 1 PSI under. Remember to do this in coolest part of the day and don't ride to an air pump even if it is less than 1 mile away. Tires will gain PSI as they warm up. For each 10 degree ambiant temperature drop, tires will loose 1 PSI and will never get it back.
Guess I will run the 30/40 that the manual recommends.
Never had Michelins on a bike before, but they sure feel smooth. I haven't pushed it on cornering yet, but they seem to stick really well & feel very planted.
how many miles can I expect to get out of them? About 10,000 on the Dunlops on the Sporty & it was time for new rubber...hoping these are better.

I run recommended pressure on my SGC. I have pushed it pretty hard while cornering and it's really smooth and solid with the recommended pressure.
Run the tire pressure that the tire calls for. forget the manual, run what the tire manufacturer calls for. My old scorchers called for thirty in the front and forty in the back. After changing to the Michilin Commander II's, the front pressure is forty one and the back is forty two. Run what the tire calls for, they know more than HD.
