Default Wideglide winter project
Hey guys i figured i would show some pictures. I was going to do motor work and a 200 rear to this winter but you know how money gets sometimes, so thats for next winter. I have prepped parts and am doing a bunch of powder coating at my buddys shop replacing my black fatbob bars with some RSD short stacks that i have had laying around since last year, and got my fork tubes PVD coated and let me say that they turned out ****ing amazing and it was a **** ton cheaper than DLC. Enjoy!

Looks like fun. Should look awesome once its back together.

More info on the pvd coating. It might be cool to run some highly polished or chrome trees with the black fork tubes.

Its called physical vapor deposition and its is best applied to chrome or SS...it dos not increase the thickness of metal and is three times harder than chrome which makes it perfect for the fork tubes

Wow pretty neat.Never heard of PVD are there many shops around? Done by a chromer? or a specialty shop? Gonna be a nice ride.
