Worked great! The styrofoam is just glued in. Popped that out after taking the liner out. Took a dremal tool and carved the inside to fit my head. Put back in liner and siliconed the styrofoam back in the shell. Done.
Just picked up a Nolan N43. While I like the protection of a FF, they make me feel more caged than being in a car. And then there's the fogging up on top of it all. The N43 has an amazing field of vision and the removable chin bar is ECE 22.05 certified. As soon as the pin lock insert arrives, I'll be a happy camper.
I do.HJC IS-16 with flip-up sun visor.Love it.Due to sinus damage from a bad car accident I cant really take the wind in my face too much. The only time I just wear goggles is if im riding slow on a road that runs along the beach in summertime.salt air is good.
Cheapest half helmet DOT approved. I ordered way small and carved out the styrofoam to make it fit. Best of both worlds??
I guess if I lived in a helmet law state I'd see the reason for that. Way I figure, if I'm wearing a helmet it better work as designed.
I have a full face but it only makes an appearance on the coldest days or in anticipation of a long highway jaunt. I hate the enclosed feeling so I got me a Rockhard American Classic 3/4. I've been breaking it in over the past few days and am pleased with it. My hideous mushroom half hat is officially retired.
