http://www.amm.haan.de/Carb/carb.htm

this website spells it all out, doesn't look too difficult. The walkthrough is on an older twin cam but I'm sure you could email them and ask if it works on the newer bikes.

I will echo what a lot of other people have said, it's your bike man, do what you want....

But it seems to me like your going to spend money on a head ache!

send me half the money you are going to spend, then take the battery out of your bike and sell it.
then just push your bike real fast, jump on and dump the clutch.

way cheaper for you and less work.

:P

just kidding.. if you want to do that go for it.
I will however ask that you share some of the new cusswords you are going to invent while trying to kick start that ****.

So why does the kickstart require ditching EFI?

Carb old school all the way for me, and zero issues with carbs for the last 28 years that i have been riding

EFI to Carb not a real big job, pick up a used carb and intake an ignition module and ditch about 10lbs of electronics and good to go.Just not sure about doing this on a 2012 with it's new computer that controls everything, you could get a pre 04 bike

http://www.amm.haan.de/Carb/carb.htm

try this link , this guy converted his EFI to Carb and makes it look easy

why not just buy a shovelhead? you might regret this change sometime in the future and then youll have to change it all back.

You could just install the kick starter and not use it. Maybe just the look is good enough........................

A forum member 'countrypunk' converted his '02 Dyna from EFI to carb ... don't think he went to kick start yet ... I'll see if I can find his thread and post a link to it ....

* * *

... a lot of naysayers on it, too ... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...g-my-dyna.html

... don't see why you couldn't do it, but I think that kicker and the extra bucks on the carb conversion are going to be dear ... it's your money ... good luck
