Default Kickstand -err Jiffy stand

Does anyone else double-triple check the stand & then walk way looking back at it thinking it isnt right? It really doesn't seem like it is far enough forward & is going to fold up.

You do know that it locks out when the pressure of the bike is on it, right?

Default Always!

I always kick it down and hold it forward with my foot while I let the bike down on it! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!

As far as "locking out" when the bike puts pressure on it, it also flips back up when not fully extended and allows the bike to drop like a rock!

Yes, but 800+ lbs. of bike will hold it. Just kick it down/hold, lean & push bike back when dismounting & she's locked. Only concern would be high winds (happens often in NE) so don't park in wind tunnel...

Took me awhile to get used to it and I still have my moments from time to time.

Yeah, I started putting my foot behind it before it put the weight of the bike on it.

Like others have said, I do hold it with my foot. Just seems like it should be a bit more forward angle.

I modded mine so there is a loop that anchors like an outrigger.
It can even firmly hold the bike with the front pointing down hill.
Not hard to do, just think, what if there was a helping hand down there.
