If you got an 03 and up i would look into doing a temkin bearing. Seen lots of cranks twist even stock motors with some mild cams have twisted them. And if some one just tells you to weld the crank it will be good it wont it will still twist..
Could just be all the added ground connection on this project but it jumps with a flick of the wrist.
98ci ; Stage 3 heads and cyl work by GMR ; Woods cams and lifters, Timken bearings , Smith Bro p rods, R & R roller rockers, Flow matched Injectors, Weisco's @ 10.2 , Samson HellRaisers, TTS Mastertune. Made 104hp and 111 ft lbs before trike added. Currently building wheelie bars !!
Just thought I'd point out the elephant in the room and say that a high peak HP number does not make a better bike - it just strokes an ego.
For a street machine, of far more interest is the amount of area under the torque graph around the gear change revs.
*crawls back under his rock*
Couldn't agree more. As a matter of fact my builder (who is a friend of mine) put his own head design on my bike. I said I wanted S&S 570 cams but they swapped them for the 640s to see what HP they could pull out of their heads. I am now in a situation where I want the 570s in the build and have to bring it up with them to see how we can rectify the situation. Not to mention, now that they put the 640s in it I need roller rockers to consider it reliable, and that would not have been the case before. All the power with the 640s is way up in the high RPM range, not what I really wanted. His shop is closed today but hopefully I can discuss with them tomorrow and we can come to an agreement to make this right.

I agree with both of you. I am not worried about my ego whatsoever, I figure if I put the money into the bike I would like to see triple digits if possible. I wanted to see what people on here did to get these numbers to see if it was something I could manage on my budget. Good luck on the build.
On a side note, Have any of you bad problems with the tearing up belts after your work?
Cheers
i finally ordered my bike. 2012 street bob, having the dealer put in a 103 stage 4 and running VH competition pipe. we will see how that works. ill post numbers once i get a few miles on it and get it back up there to tune. been told they do a good job so hopefully people arent lieing to me, or dont know better for that matter. only crappy thing is that they told me i had to get mine straight from the factory since there arent any in the area in denim black. said it would be 2 weeks, told me that 2 weeks ago. called him today to see what was up and told me that factory is behind and would be mid may till they got one straight from them, but they found another dealer that is getting one either tomorrow or wednesday and supposedly they traded a street glide for it so they can have it to me sooner. THEN... i gotta wait for the parts to show up cuz supposedly they cant order the engine parts till they have a VIN... so its still gunna be a couple weeks by the time they get the VIN, order the parts, get the bike, and build it. bastages. either way, once i get my setup FINALLY, ill post pics and let you guys know how it rides and once i get it tuned, ill post dyno work for ya too.

Se-259e cams
Perfect-Fit Pushrods
58mm throttle body with High Flow Injectors

D&D 2 into 1 Exhaust
Waited for the kit since March and the local parts manager pulled some strings to get the pieces rounded up. Just back from the dealer this Friday. Happy with the performance and driveability. Tuner at the shop apologized for running it on the dyno with the only gas they had available from the shop tank was regular. Told me he had to retard the timing a little to avoid the pings. Said drive it a thousand miles and bring it back with 91 octane and I can get you a little more
BTW, my PCV wouldn't get the most out of the tune, had to pony up for the SERT.
