Default Harleys holding Resale Value = Myth
It's been made clear to me in the past few weeks that the myth of Harley's holding their value is just that. A myth. Might as well buy a rice burner for all the good it will do me...

Everything loses value dude, but they hold theirs a lot longer than most other bikes out there.

Exactly buy it and enjoy it the only thing that seems to hold it's value is a Honda car. People think those things are worth 9k with 175,000 on the odometer. Insane...

A lot has to do with when you buy and when you sell. Most bang for your buck - buy in winter, sell in spring.

The economy and overabundance of used bikes for sale has hurt the value.
Ill take my 05 FXDLI over an 05 VTX, just sayin

When I sold my sportster the dealership gave me a few hundred more than what I owed and I never paid more than my minimum payment. Think they gave me 6400 for a 2010 in January of 2012. I paid 8000 ish.

If you are not under water, you are ahead of the game

haha 175,000? the lowest milage i ever bought a honda had 235,000. my last honda had just over 300,000 and i ended up selling the motor since the body rotted out, it lasted another 2 years. haha but those early 90's hondas go for around 1200 to 1500. those people asking big bucks just paid too much and wana break even Pre OBD2, single cam 16 valve honda's are so simple.

Harleys have a terrible resale value...it's just that the other brands don't hold value nearly as well!
