great prices and free fedex shipping... they have the stock dunlops, but i went with the new michelin commander II s ... they are supposed to last twice as long and are specially designed for our bikes...
NO! on going to dealer unless you just want to spend alot more money for the exact same tire lol..
I run Metzler ME880's. Came across them purly by accident.
Some years ago, Dunlop was on stike, and I needed a new rear tire. My bike was new, as was the 17" rear tires on them. There was none to be had in my area.
My tire guy, (not HD) suggested the Metz.
Ever since, I've been "Sold" on them. They're a little harder compound, so if you do a lot of "spirited" riding, they might not rite for you. But, they'll give you 2-3000 Mi. more between changes, and you'll loose that "butt wiggle" when change lanes out on the freeway. It's a 170-VR-60 (Radial) that I run.
I imagin just about any radial would get rid of the "Tar snakes" but Metz has done good by me.
Just my $.02
Hope this helps
Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Reason: Because I can
I replaced my OE Michelin Scorchers with the new Commander II's yesterday. Ordered them from Motorcycle Superstore. Indy charged me $90 to install & balance them. Upgraded the pads to EBC & he installed them at n/c since he was doing the tires.
