hello, new member here. just bought a new 07 superglide last month and it didnt have the factory alarm. dealer says he can
add it. i was wondering if its something i should get? i dont have any pic's of it yet as its been snowing in denver the last few
days. thanks
i got one for each of my bikes. although the security system locks the ignition and flashes the lights, the siren (chirper) does make an annoying noise when the bike is screwed with. I know many will talk about how many car alarms go off in a parking lot, that no body pays any attention to. However, if you are the one stealing the bike, the noise from the siren certainly would make one extemely nervous about messing with the bike. for a little of $100, i felt it was worth the purchase.
on the international Dyna models the alarm is factory installed. I like it altough almost 1/3 of my Dyna userguide is about using this alarm, it's seems a little complicated. For sure my insurance company demands such an alarm.
I didn't know it was snowing in Denver !
It didn't come with an alarm or it didn't come with the siren? Seems all bikes come with the alarm but the siren is extra and you can install it yourself.
PS- Please keep that white crap out there, we're having a mild winter here in NJ for a change and it gives us a chance to ride a little more this year.
