I wanted to chime in to give my opinion. Plastidip is really easy to spray on and remove because it peels off.
But as a product to paint something for any type of durability or longevity? It would NOT be my first choice. I'd do it temporarily just until I could have real paint or powder coat it.
I don't like how it seems to attract dust and how easily it will scratch. But because it's really simple to remove and do over, I guess it's a great cheap option.
Just got done doing the heatshields on my SB. Looks good, we shall see how it holds up.

I also did the timer cover about a month ago, can kind of see it in the pics. It's held up fine and it get's pretty hot down there. I think the heat shields should do fine.

I read thru most of this thread looking to see if anybody used the PRIMER.
It says it increases hold and is harder to remove. I will use it as a fender bib soon.
I'm starting this thread so everyone who has used Plasti-Dip can post their pics and share here. All credit on the idea of this thread goes to PatrickHenninger. And thanks to Valter for giving me the confidence to use this product.
Well I had a small dent in my front fender and the paint started to crack. I cleaned the paint with Isopropyl alcohol and applied several light coats allowing 6 plus hours to dry between the coats. Over all I'm very please with this product.
Going to need to do this on my sporty.. stays outside during riding season so a little extra protection won't hurt a bit
EDIT: Under a cover when not on it, btw.. Any chance there's a sportster plasti thread? Didn't see one on a quick search. Or even just some pics of a dipped sporty?
