100% correct IMHO. For the first season of owning my bike I had the download, SE Slipons and SE air filter. ran great. My buddy has the same set-up on his Super Glide and his ran the fine too.
Season 2 I changed to V&H Slipinons and Power Commander III. Bike still runs great with that combo.
My bud changed to same slipons as mine but kept the download and did nothing else. Popping on decel.
Point being the download works with limited exhaust/air filter combos. I don't think it will help your situation at all. Talk to an Indy mechanic and see what they recommend.

Fuel Pak and IED's have proven to be a very effective combination. Because Fuel Pak is primarily an open loop device and the XiED's a closed loop device, they actually compliment each other. Multiple fuel controllers always has the potential for problems because they can fight for control of the fuel mixture. We always recommend you try to work with your original fuel controller before adding an IED, but the Fuel Pak/XiED combination has proven to be one that is well behaved.

my bike bangs like a ***** on deceleration , Ive read somewhere its the cool air mixing with the hot exhaust gasses in the free flow mufflers causing the pops,
its not meant to do any harm so I'm fine with it , ill be doing XIEDS as soon as i get round to ordering them , some people say this can help , but I'm only doing them for a cooler engine ...
