Hi all. I recently purchesed a 2008 superglide with 9000 miles on it. My previous bike was a 2007 sportster 1200.I notice a loud noise when the engine fires when staring. It is a single clunk. The bike runs great, very smooth and no engine noise, just the single clunk in the starter area. It seems as though I have heard this before on other BT engines. I don't know that this is not normal, just not used to this machine yet.This noise is produced when the starter is disengaged as the motor starts. Sound familiar??
