MoCo P&A book doesn't show the handlebar mount speaker kits as being compatible with the Fatbob. Anyone know why? Connectors maybe? Anyone installed a set and were there any issues/gotchas?
I suspect that is because of the 1.25" handlebars. the moco isn't very quick at adapting parts for newer bikes. i think they have alot of **** on the shelfs and can't afford to go creating / stocking new accessories that may not go anywhere.
I have the boom audio, the clamps are made for the 1.25 bars and an adapter for 1 inch bars, the issue could be the connector for power, what i did was cut off the connector and hook it up to the accesory port.
Rob, is the connector for power only and the rest of the amp & control wiring is included in the kit? Are you talking about the under the seat aux power connecector? It also looks like there is a replacement handlebar switch half that holds the volume control, yes? And last, how is the sound and does it make sufficient volume w/o distortion? I don't want to crank enough volume to reattle the cages but I do want to be able to hear clearly at speed.
troo dat!
@ spinrup I think forum member JRK5892 , aka the powder pro, may have a very interesting soloution to your query!
My fork bag speakers will be here this week(from Joe "JRK5892") and I can't wait!!! For less than what HD charges for a 40 watt amp set up I'm getting a 500 watt system !!

I really prefer speakers on the bars. I don't have a lot of room to hang a bag behind my batwing and if I did it would carry a map and other need to be reachables.
Remember 3 or 4" speakers can only sound so good. If you have a full exhaust system most often than not they wont be adiquite. I have tried bag stereos, and handle bar speakers and in my opinion dont have high expectations. Remember they are 3" speakers. The best bar mounted speakers i have heard in person are J&M with built in amp.
