So last week when I traded in my 12 Sportster and was all pumped up after my test ride i set my sights on picking up my new bike this Wednesday.
When i called the dealer today they said they weren't sure if the parts would be in by then but I could pick it up on Friday. Well wouldn't you know it a job came up and I'll be out of town Thursday and Friday so I say I'll picket up Saturday. Nope they have a big rally and aren't delivering any bikes!
So in a nut shell I have to wait until next week and because I had more time I decided to spend MORE money!

A N T I C I P AT I O N >>>>> it's making me wait!
Sorry man but if it helps you feel any better we have had nothing but rain and cold here, and I have only taken 2 small rides this season :-/ Usually by this time I would have racked up at least 1000 miles.
Edit = Ya cmancini is right man they are the ones who are not delivering on time, all joking aside They owe you !

So they would rather chance you saying your going elsewhere because they will not deliver a bike on a day they sell bikes! Have you already payed for it and all accessories? If so tell them you will be in on Saturday to pick up your scoot!!

Call your salesman and tell him/her that you found one somewhere else and they can have all your desired mods ready for a Saturday pick up, and would he like to keep your sale on his books?
You didn't say, but the salesman may not know that you can't do a pick up Saturday. Get him on the stick, or call the sales manager. They are ALL about turning out sales numbers. You sign some papers and ride away, ask them what's so tough about that...
Hope your experience is better while your waiting on your knew bike then I had while I was waiting on mine. The ordered my bike and it came in early( thats good), they forgot to order all my aftermarket parts, once they came in they were the wrong parts, and finally they made an appointment to get my parts installed and they told me a pick up date and it was a week and a half late. I refuse to deal with my dealer so I hope you dont have to wait more then a week.
Well the wait is almost over, I went to the dealer to day and they are having a MDA rally but I got see her almost done. I am picking the bike up Monday afternoon! I am going to miss my Sportster though...wish I could keep both.
did you buy it at Brians HD?? if so they do this every year and it is a BIG DEAL as they raise a lot of cash for the MDA
and being mostly for kids an extra day or two wait is worth it.

Here are a few pictures.
REALLY NICE looking scoot but you're probably right. You're gonna miss your Sporty! That Dyna will probably help you get over it fairly quickly!!

No I bought at Schaffer's and contributed a few buck to the cause as well.
