Default vibrating 1980 FXS
Just purchased a 1980 FXS,with wide glide front end,i've had shovels before & never had vivration like this..I've owned 11 Harley's, shovels, Evo's, rigids etc..This vibrates at 65 worse then anything i've ever had,,The bike runs great mechanically. 80" factory with high comp pistons..Bars are rigid mount roll back drag bars..Chrome grips with small amount of rubber in them..i did at one timehave an FXR with rubber mount bars. But then i have to change the trees. Any suggestions ??? Thanx Ace

First find out if it's a mechanical problem. Could it be a balance issue with the non-stock high compression pistons?

A quick check of the top engine mount would eliminate that as a cause.
