Default Lowering Kits for Dyna

Toying with the idea of dropping the butt end of my 08 FXDC one inch. Has anyone had experience with lowering kits like the one shown in the link below? Also interested in any input on these vs shorter shocks and pending clearance issues between tire and fender. Thanks in advance.

I went with Progresive suspension front and back, used the 11 inch shocks for the back and all is good. The tire never hits fender because the swing arm stops moving up, you just get less suspension travel.

I have a set of lowering blocks I just took off to put on some progressive 430 shocks. If you can afford it go with changing the shocks. If not, I'll sell you mine used ones.

Thanks. I think you guys sold me on stickin' to the shorter shocks route but I'd be interested in what you thought of the blocks.

What about using air shocks and onboard compressor for adjusting on the fly?

you will get a little harsher ride due to changing the angle of the shock.

Don't use blocks, tried it. Spend money and get the shocks. The fender will bottom out and bend. I went with the 440 shock.

when you just drop the butt, how does that effect the front/ride. I'm short and need to drop my bike and 1 1/2 inches. (even after boots...and seat change...short legs sucks). Can I do this with out doing the front?

my rear is dropped 1" with blocks...ride is stiffer due to change in angle and I changed the stiffness on the shocks as well so I don't bottom out...with that said the ride is beareable for me and my scoot is my daily driver. I'm also running Pirelli 180's on the rear and I don't have rubbing issues...when finances permit I plan on lowering via the burly slammer kit...right now my priority is the 21" front wheel conversion.
