Hi guys, been a while since I've been on but have a question for ya....I need to upgrade my suspension on my 07 dyna, I can't stand the way it wants to wallow in the turns and the front end feels like it wants to wash out, especially in bad weather. Anyway was thinking of upgrading to progressive fork springs with new oil and going with progressive shocks in the rear, what are your suggestions for this or should I look at a different suspension company?
Thanks
Ed
I put the Ricor Intiminators in over the weekend and they made a VERY noticeable difference. I see the shock riding up and down over the rough stuff, but I don't feel it in the bars. Brake dive is much better controlled too.
On the down side, I didn't' replace the rear shocks (yet) and it feels worse than ever. If at all possible, do them both at the same time. I will be upgrading rear suspension much sooner than later now (not sure if I will go Ricor, Ohlins, Works, or Progressive). Still researching....
give Brian a call at Ricor if you have any questions. Nice guy
Just changed out my stock front springs today with the progresssive fork spring kit. Took a ride about 30 miles but so far I am very happy, much better than stock. Less dive, smoother ride, very smooth & quiet over R/R crossings. Corner breaking far better. Running 970's on the rear since last spring. Harley should be slapped for rolling their bikes off the assembly line with the junk they call suspension
Thanks guys, I was looking at the 412's and the 970's, not sure if i want to spend that kind of money on just rear shocks, but who knows?! They should not only be slapped for their suspension but also their brakes! IMO, that is..was also looking at Works suspension, but it seems like the concensus is to stick with progressive.
