2012 Street Bob Derby Cover
Dumb question.
If I want to put on a new derby cover,,,,when I remove the stock one fluid will leak out?
My other bikes (not harley) didnt do this....

+1 on just putting a 2x4 under the kickstand. Just something to upright it a little. WHat i did was, i had my brother sit on the bike upright while it took me 2 min to remove and install the new one. No fluid leaked out at all.

Didn't change the gasket on mine and no issues.
Look into a front wheel stand from harbor freight. It's relatively cheap, about 30-40 dollars, and locks the front wheel, keeping the bike upright by itself. Makes jobs like this easily done by yourself. V

I apologize, I was wrong on price. It's 69.99 but well worth it if you plan on working on your bike yourself.

When I put on my derby cover, a new gasket was required because the stock one did not fit that application. Be sure to read the instructions to verify if the stock gasket will work.
