Helmets just kind of seem like common sense to me. you cant control if someone else hits you and in that case it seems like it would be best to have some sort of protection on your noggin

I live in a No Helmet state(PA) and I still won't even ride to the Wawa without my full face on. Wont let anybody on the back of my bike without putting a full face on either.

My youngest and I were watching Shooter a couple weeks ago... There is a scene where an FBI agent gets thrown over an assailant's shoulder and cracks his head on the concrete with just a bump in the movie. My son said that could kill him in real life. Break his skull, severe laceration and concussion at the least. I said, "yep". We spend a lot of time picking apart that kind of stuff in movies.

I think too many people underestimate the damage even a non-moving fall to pavement can cause. I once fell to concrete from an old 8' wooden ladder when the rung under my feet snapped. My feet were less than 6' from the floor. Dislocated a shoulder and broke two metatarsal bones. Thankfully I didn't hit my head. Still...6' fall and my shoulder was really never the same again. 'Course, they're both metal now, but that was a different class of hit... Bones and flesh can be me mended in miraculous ways but brains are a different animal.

Sure, some people get lucky. Some people survive lightning strikes and falling from airplanes, too. I'm not willing to put that much trust in luck.

Yes, Full face. All the time. I am a saxophone player and need my brain and face to make a living.

Power to the people, if folks want to go without a helmet I say that's great! Me personally, I can't go for a ride without one, people always hounding me for my autograph..."Oh hey, there goes SBM, Hey Suede, sign my bike, Hey Suede, sign my forehead, Hey Suede sign my wife's fake breast", sheesh, it never ends! I mean bugger off people, sign your own wife's breast, Oh Suede, take a selfie with me! Bugger the huck off people.

So I always have to hide my face, it's best for everyone

This Arai is still in the works, gonna mod it a bit from the current but man, in the sunlight, nobody can stare at it for more than a second, it's a ball of the Sun on Earth!

I still wear a 3/4 by myself and a full face with two up. Just want to protect the dome if nothing else.

Oddly, I’ve taken to wearing a full face and no other clothing at all. So I guess I only feel naked from the neck down. It’s a nice compromise.

Im from Chile in Southamerica.

We are forced by law to use helmet ... any DOT will do the job, but ive been using full face helmets since 1998 until last november starting our summer (which started very very hot) were i switched to a bobber one (HJC IS5) ... i will use it until temps get little lower and will come back to my full face until next hot weather season ...

cya ! hope you and your families are good in health and stay at home !
