Just got a street bob came from street bikes. First time I hit a right hand corner i thoght i ripped part of the bike off. It was the forward controls. Little more careful now.

The first week I had the Low Rider I kept throwing it hard into the turn trying to scrape the peg and then I remembered I have forwards. I'm an idiot. Haven't scraped a danged thing.

I have scrapped the right peg plenty of times but the left only once or twice on my fat bob. Usually hit my boot heels first but just move my foot a little more and keep on leaning.

It seems pretty consistent...the bikes can lean further to the left before scraping.

Didnt think Id get so many replies! Nice bits of info specially about the lean angles. This question came from me working on some low speed skills this weekend and I found myself feeling alittle akward sitting the bike down on the left peg... The lean angles makes sense! Nice find!!

To you guys that tend to scrape exhaust... Just curious what kinda pipes? Stocks and drags pipes so far .. have never scraped anything but pegs.

I like dragging the peg and the floorboards. My left side always ends up more ground down than the right.

I believe it is because in a typical right turn the right side of the road drops down (camber) more than it does on a typical left ...making the effective lean angle LESS on the left before touching down.

admittedly I dont scrape much in high speed turns.. In fact I've only ever done it when actively TRYING to scrape when sorta determining the limits for my bike.

However I lay it on the peg(s) quite often maneuvering when at low speeds specially in tight spaces. Hence mine are scraped but no metal showing XD I'm very comfortable making full lock turns with the peg firmly planted to the ground. lol atleast on the right and side And I can actually draw a figure 8 on the pavement in peg scrapings lol.

.... Those low speed skills are important too

Now that Im not dragging the stock exhaust on right turns anymore I feel just as confident in both L & R turns. Overall I like right better because when your shooting close to the apex there is only a shoulder, less worries when a cage is encroaching your lane
