Street Bob or Super Glide will be good for you with the right seat and handlebars. Forget forward controls...keep the mids and do the suspension. Great bikes.

An FXDC and FXDB come from the factory with mid controls, not forwards...OP, given your height I would keep the mids.

If you've been riding a Sporty for 4 years, you won't have any trouble with a Dyna. I think the Dyna is easier to handle than the Sporty due to the lower center of gravity. If needed, get a reduced reach seat first & if that still doesn't get you comfortable get some shorter rear shocks to lower the bike.

The Super Glide is an awesome ride....I traded my Sporty in for a new one this February & love it. Handles great, good weight distribution, lots more torque than the Sporty. Go for it.

Ok guys so I have another question. There is a place where I live that sells used bikes and finances them through Harley. Would it be better to trade my bike in or sell my bike? I still owe some money on the sporty.

you will probably get a better price selling the bike yourself, but then again the seller might be negotiable with the price of the new bike or on the trade in value beings how your purchasing a bike. Dont rush into anything, there are a lot of good deals to be had if your willing to take your time. Do your homework on current bike values in your area and dont be afraid to wheel and deal.

Depends if you owe more than the street value of your bike.

Check out this site. you can compare different models using your height. Lots of adjustments available through CG inputs. Good to know what changes can do for you before spending HD dollars... tomp dd50

Default +1 w/SC Longhair, go try it then buy it!

I agree with SC, go try it then buy it if it fits or if they can make it fit for you, the shorter shocks might do the trick if it's too high in stock mode. I love my '11 FXDC and wouldn't trade it for anything right now but next year, ya never know, lol. I went with the pull back riser on the handlebars also and I think that might help you as well, check em out!

Check all the local harley dealers in your area. You may pay a little more, but if your financing your bike you will have a much lower payment going through eagle financial if you have decent credit. They had the best rate and the longest financing and they will be able to get you out of the sportster. See how much a payment would be on new even. They often have a lot of choices of bikes that are almost new.

This is not the best financial advise but if your trying to keep at a certain payment to make it affordable they can make it happen. You can always pay it off earlier with no penalty.

If you loved your sporty, your going to love, love the dyna....sporty on steroids. I was comfortable the moment I took off in it. Get the dyna superglide custom and you will have your mid controls. The wide glide and fat bob only come with forwards now.

there are a lot of aftermarket products out there where you can add to your ride to make it as comfy as possiable. mine has lepera bare bones seat, wild one 560 low profile bars and 11in shocks. has anyone got the wild one 560 with mids, i have forwords on mine and everything works fine but because the bars have a lot of pull back i dont think the bars would work with mids

The type of used bike lot you're talking about is one of the riskiest places to shop. Better to find a garage queen from original owner.

You would be well to sell your bike, yourself.
