Some tuners are recommended more than others, especially if you have plans on going beyond just adding an exhaust system and air cleaner.

The xied's mentioned above help riches up the air/fuel ratio (AFR) from 14.6:1 to 13.8:1. The stock engines are setup to run very lean to meet emission standards. When you increase the airflow by adding a free flowing exhaust and air cleaner it will compound the problem. A lean bike runs very hot, deceleration popping is another problem people experience when modifying their engines without making tuning adjustments.

If your interested in learning more here is the manufacturers website

They simply plug in between your co2 sensor and ecu

The download will bring the VE tables closer to what you really have and improve the timing curve. This will mainly improve open loop performance. Adding XIEDs will cover closed loop.

I too have a PM A/C, modified exhaust, and my local dyno tuner told me to buy a new Screaming Eagle Supertuner. It must be a new one, and will be specific to your bike only.
He did his magic with it, and it worked out very well.

Just left the Harley dealer and I decided to go with the screaming eagle super tuner. Having my bike done on Monday . I decided to go with this one since its what the Dyno tech recommended. Also didn't want to **** with my extended warranty. Unit was $447.00 and it's $95 to install and tune.
