Some tuners are recommended more than others, especially if you have plans on going beyond just adding an exhaust system and air cleaner.
The xied's mentioned above help riches up the air/fuel ratio (AFR) from 14.6:1 to 13.8:1. The stock engines are setup to run very lean to meet emission standards. When you increase the airflow by adding a free flowing exhaust and air cleaner it will compound the problem. A lean bike runs very hot, deceleration popping is another problem people experience when modifying their engines without making tuning adjustments.

I too have a PM A/C, modified exhaust, and my local dyno tuner told me to buy a new Screaming Eagle Supertuner. It must be a new one, and will be specific to your bike only.
He did his magic with it, and it worked out very well. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/20...i-super-tuner/
