Do u have a pic of this plastic bicycle tire tool, not sure what ur talking about. Also all the inner spokes are the same size and all the outers are the same size right, thus helping cut them all before hand?
All my rear spokes are the same length. I put the first wrap on uncut, then trimmed it in place. Then I flipped it so the good end was flush against the nipple and used the extra length as a template to cut the rest to length.
Tire levers look like this:
You can get them at any bicycle shop like Performance Bike.
I did mine on the jack with the rear shocks off. I've never tried it with the bike on the ground but I'm gonna assume it's way more of a pain that way. My back wheel only took me about half an hour.

I did mine on the jack, too, but the rear spokes were so tight that it took me forever to wiggle the wraps between them. I had to pull a few off and start over because the inner wrap flipped around and the seam opened up while pushing the outer wrap on.
Has anyone removed a few of the wraps to see if the spokes have corroded at all.......6months? 1year? 2years? after install. I'de love to get some of these, but not if it's going to accelerate corrosion. Do the wraps end up protecting the spokes?
