Do the lines HAVE to be bled with a handlebar swap? Just wondering because I just swapped controls on and off when I changed bars on my sport bike, but not sure on harley

I bought some fatbob bars for my WG, and have been procrastinating... i guess i am worried about depinning the connectors from under the tank...was it a PITA?

I will attempt the bars this weekend possibly.

Hey Valter, the connectors are pretty easy. Search youtube, they have videos that'll help. Too bad I PCSed or I could have helped you in person, I was just down the street from you in Lake Ridge/Woodbridge but no in the the hot sun of DM. Good luck!

dang! lol, i am familiar with pinning/de-pinning, a networking comm guy by trade, made a few cables in my day, just when the difference is a cheap cable that i can remake, and a $15000 motorcycle that i must to ride daily...my concerns go up. what stopped me last time was the fuel lines, learned a trick with ear plugs in coolant lines when in the desert, but with lack of time, and research...i have been slacking. thanks for the reassurance.

Not far. It will only allow you to pull it back so far with the fuel line and crossover line connected.

at most you need 3-4 inches - just enough to expose the tabs for the plastic cover under the neck, there's a half inch (roughly) hole on each side that locks the cover in place, use your finger to push up and unlock it.
