Jugs and pistons back on. Starting to look like an engine again.

Still waiting on heads.

Hello Psycho, I've got a build real similar to yours. 95" forged SE pistons, ported heads, SE 211 cams, SE performance slip on mufflers on an '05 EG. I got a map from the power commander site that was close enough to get me through for 500 miles. I think it was for a 95" with 203's. It was actually a little rich, which is alright for breaking in, better than lean. If the bottom end is broken in and you're just setting rings you can dyno after about 200-300 miles. I'm dynoed at 98 tq and 95 hp. I'm thinking about taking off the heads and having them milled and compression releases installed. I think the 211's would perform better with a little higher compression and milling the heads will give me that. The only problem I have is that when it is hot and I turn it off for only a few minutes and then try to start it, like when I'm getting gas or going into a store, it will try to kick back and be hard to start. It has been suggested my cables may be hot and not conducting electricity as well but I think I may still be a little rich at 0 throttle. Either way, compression releases would take care of that. There not that expensive and save alot of grief, starters and batteries down the road. When you get it dynoed I would definitely make sure you tell them to check you afm at 0 throttle, 1/4 throttle, and 1/2 throttle, not just open throttle like a power run. Just food for thought.

Hey thanks for the info Mike.

Update, got the heads back and got them on and properly torqued, rocker boxes, rockers, push rods and tubes back on, and when torquing the last bolt on the second set of rockers, it broke off in the head before I ever even got near the correct torque value.

So, I tore it back down, and extracted the broken bolt, and ordered a complete new set of rocker bolts for both cylinders. So it's currently sitting there with the heads and rocker boxes on, waiting for rocker bolts.

Still waiting on a few other small odds and ends as well that are supposed to be here monday.

Maybe I'll get it back together and get some results this week sometime. Here's hoping. I'm having ride withdrawals.

Oh, nearly forgot to mention. The heads were absolutely terrible stock. They were nearly fifteen cfm apart, and every spring had a little different preload. The stock intakes were at 205 cfm on one head, and 220 cfm on the other. The exhaust ports were a little closer at 173 and 176.

Both intakes are now within one cfm of each other at approximately 250 cfm, for a 30 cfm gain over stock, and the exhaust ports are both right around 200 for an approximate 25 cfm gain over stock.

After seeing how bad those heads were, I'd do headwork without doing the cubic inch upgrade, before I'd do the cube upgrade without the headwork.

Those things were bad. Really bad.

Nearly done. All I lack is installing the tank, plugs and wires, exhaust and battery cover. I spun it over with the starter, and It built 30lbs of oil pressure quick. That's a good sign.

Should be running this time tomorrow provided I get the bolts I ordered to plug the holes in the exhaust from removing the 02 sensors. That is all I'm waiting on at this point.

Starting a fresh engine indoors can get a wee bit smoky.

Went for a cold ride. I mean 15 degrees cold. five foot icicles hanging off the banks on the side of the road cold.

It's a little fat in the bottom, but nothing that can't be tuned out. Once it clears out the fuel and gets wound up a bit, it runs like a raped ape.

Amazing the difference. Can't wait to get it on a dyno.

I took a stock before vid of the idle as well for side by side comparison. If you'll open this video, then open one of the after videos over it in a separate window, you'll hear the difference in the cams.
